Alli Fast Diet: The FDA Approves of This One

In an earlier fast diet blog post, I discussed the fact that all Hydroxycut products were recalled by the FDA in May of 2009. This caused quite a hoopla, as many people felt that this was an unfair recall. However, in the FDA’s defense, one death had been linked to use of these weight loss products, and they had been deemed to cause liver problems in several other individuals. Even if many people never suffered any deeply detrimental effects from use of these products, the officials at the FDA felt they were justified in issuing the recall, and so they did. And of course, they get the final say in the matter.

On the flip side, and as you may already know, the FDA does give its full approval to a different diet pill called Alli. Indeed, it is the only diet pill to receive the official blessing of the FDA, and that is a pretty big deal for many different reasons. For starters, there are many consumers who would only consume a diet pill if it were to receive the official stamp of approval from the United States government. It is a very serious form of validation that many diet pill manufacturers would be thrilled to receive.

So, that’s all well and good, but what do actual consumers think of this product? Well, a lot of consumers have chimed in with their reviews on a wide variety of commercial websites, such as Amazon.com, so if you are thinking about using Alli diet pills in order to to facilitate your own fast diet, you would do yourself a great service by reading through all of the customer reviews you can find to get a sense of what actual consumers are thinking and feeling about Alli. For instance, a lot of the customer reviewers state that this product works because it “keeps them honest” in that if you eat foods that are too fatty while taking these pills, you can end up having some rather nasty gastrointestinal side effects. (Customer reviewers also write in depth about these side effects in their reviews, but I will spare you the graphic descriptions in this blog.) It’s best for you to study the reviews yourself and come to your own conclusion about whether or not Alli diet pills are the right choice for you.
